Pausing The Hidden VC (indefinitely)
Reasons behind and what's next.

I’m Orphée de Bouard, the person behind The Hidden VC, who has been striving to provide you with great leads for the last 3 months.
When I decided to leave henQ where I spent 5 incredible years as a B2B investor before starting The Hidden VC, I was convinced there was room for a lead generation service for investors to discover promising European pre-seed and seed startups, including stealth mode founders. Not another AI-driven product, not another database, just a curated selection of relevant leads served directly. I thought the opportunity was there—especially given how much money funds spend on Specter, Harmonic, and Pitchbook among others—and in any case working on it would help me stay connected and relevant for my next investor role.
I had set the following targets that I wanted to reach before the end of November to validate the opportunity:
> 200 subscribers ✅
> 50% open-rate and > 40% click-through-rate ✅
> €1500 MRR ❌
As of November 21st, I have not reached the MRR target and have decided to pause The Hidden VC indefinitely to focus on my next investor position. If anyone is interested in taking over The Hidden VC (incl.
